Mission Statement

The St. Louis Brass Band is a community of brass and percussion musicians whose tripartite raison d'être is to entertain through concertizing, to serve as an educational resource to area youth, and to compete.

Program Objectives

I. Concertizing
As a cornerstone of the St. Louis music scene, the St. Louis Brass Band advocates for community engagement and high-caliber performance, fostering an environment where musicians excel and audiences are inspired.

II. Educational Outreach
The St. Louis Brass Band facilitates educational outreach by managing a multi-tiered youth program. Through the St. Louis Youth Brass Band and St. Louis Academy Brass Band, the organization serves a diverse range of student musicians, providing necessary resources and enrichment to both school programs and underserved communities.

III. Competition
Honoring a 150-year global tradition, the St. Louis Brass Band embraces the rigors of adjudicated competition. These events demand the highest level of technical precision and artistic expression, driving our musicians to excel as they represent the St. Louis region on the national stage.

Membership in the STLBB is open to all through audition.
